"Mindgames"
Caliban proves to have become powerful enough to take on all of X-Force thanks to his transformation at the hands of Apocalypse into the horseman Pestilence. But he is soon called off by the newly crowned bringer of War. The two horsemen take on X-Force together, with Pestilence's new abilities sickening those he has touched. Cable is forced to go to the psionic plane to rescue his teammates, but falls right into the trap that has been set for him.
Cable becomes the first of The Twelve to be successful captured by Apocalypse.
This issue features the first appearance of Deathbird as Apocalypse's horseman War.
