A bum in a bar is shooting his mouth off about how a house down the street is really a front for aliens, who abduct humans for study. Another bar patron loses his temper with the bum and accuses him of spinning lies, and forces the bum to put up or shut up. The bum leads him to the house, where the aliens await them. 5 pages (D-638).

A woman and her husband inherit the family farm, and the husband is adamant that they remove the symbols that are meant to ward off evil spirits (referred to as 'hexs' in this story). Bad luck visits them in spades, from illness, poverty, and natural disaster. One day, their luck turns around, and the husband asks the wife if she still believed in evil spirits, only to see that she had replaced the protective hex. 4 pages (K-399).

A man desperately asks a genealogist to dig into his ancestry. He tells the story about how in the middle of the night, he was visited by Little Men who insisted that he go with them to their kingdom, and that the only way to keep his sanity was to learn of his ancestry. The genealogist works all night and finds that the man is the descendant of...Gulliver. 3 pages.
"Honest Abe"

The director of the charity medical clinic who is fond of quoting Abraham Lincoln can't come up with the $5,000 payment that the landlord requires, as he only has $5 in his wallet. In an appeal to the man's humanity, the director makes his pitch and offers the landlord everything he has in his wallet. Somehow, when the wallet is opened, it contains a $5,000 bill, saving the day. 4 pages.
