In the Middle Ages, Prince Zamu plunders the Gypsies that cross his lands, stealing a painting that is cursed. It depicts a suffering old man, and the Prince soon notices that he is aging rapidly. He realizes that the painting is to blame, but the door to room where it is hung is mysteriously locked. By the time they open it, the Prince is dead and now is depicted in the painting. 5 pages (V-616).

Mort Lowman was on the run from the law when he hit the small town of Midville. He tries to rob a store, but finds that the Owner is more that willing to give it to him. In fact, everyone is happy and helpful. The only thing that is off limits is a box that Mort is told is off limits. In a Wild West town, the poker game at the sheriff's place is interrupted by a man who pleads for protection against his own kind, werewolves, who are out to kill him for choosing to leave his heritage. The sheriff is disbelieving, and is not prepared when the mans 'brothers' arrive for vengeance. 5 pages (E-133).

An inventor in a Communist country, Hugo Valgon, has perfected a ray gun that would give his leader the power to rule the world. Valgon is caught destroying the device, and explains that before he perfected the machine, it functioned as a teleporter that brought him, temporarily, to a world of peace, and now he understood the need to end all war making. 4 pages (J-967).
