"Death in the Negative Zone!"
Janus seeks the ultimate power but all he runs into is the ultimate evil as he tries to go toe-to-toe with Annihilus. Janus is over-powered by Annihilus and then strikes a bargain with the villain. Janus will show Annihilus the way to Earth in return for Janus getting to visit the Anti-Matter Zone to siphon its power. The Fantastic Four arrive to spoil the arrangement. Reed follows Janus, who starts to absorb the Negative energy, but is betrayed by his own crew and shot into the Anti-Matter Zone so fast that Reed cannot save him. Meanwhile, Ben and Johnny keep Annihilus busy until Reed's return. Once he is back, he sends Ben and Johnny back home - but he has lost his own homing device and must valiantly stay behind.
