"Death is a Golden Gorilla!"
Johnny is enjoying a day out with his new girlfriend, Frankie Raye when a strange space craft crash lands in Central Park. They watch as a golden gorilla exits the ship and starts to grow. Johnny tries to stay out of it as he promised Frankie he was done being a super hero. The gorilla makes his way through the city and in a King Kong moment, climbs the Baxter Building and steals Sue from the apartment. Reed and Ben try to come to her rescue but the gorilla is too much for them. Sensing trouble, Johnny breaks his promise and heads off the help the team. His flame coupled with Sue's force field help bring the gorilla back to size. Once subdued, the team learns the gorilla has a name, Gorr and he has come to Earth to enlist the help of the FF against Galactus.
