"Enter ... Doctor Doom!"
Sue, Reed and Ben try to prevent the Wizard from springing the Sandman from prison, but fail. The Sandman later returns to ambush Reed and Sue in the Baxter Building, and again manages to escape.
Meanwhile, Doctor Doom invites the Silver Surfer to his castle under the guise of friendship. After welcoming the Surfer, Doom springs his trap, and saps the power cosmic from the Surfer.
Elsewhere, Johnny and Wyatt continue their bizarre journey with the Inhumans' dog, Lockjaw, as he teleports them through strange dimensions, in hopes that the dog will lead them inside the Great Refuge, cut off from the rest of the world by an impenetrable barrier of Maximus' design. Inside the barrier, Black Bolt recovers, but his secret is revealed by his brother, Mad Maximus.
