The Guardians fight the Sinister Six but have to join forces with them as wave after wave of doppelgangers appear and try to merge with the originals. Meanwhile, Aleta uses the doppelgangers to weaken Starhawk and take control of her corporeal body. The Guardians defeat the doppelgangers as the Sinister five turn on Doc Ock and chase him from the Avenger's mansion.
