"He Who Loses Hope, May Then Part With Anything"
The Guardians return to Earth to find a settlement of humans rebuilding civilization lead by two mutants, Shamrock and Cuchulain. The Guardians recruit Cuchulain to temporarily replace Charlie for the mission to break Charlie out of prison. Meanwhile, Charlie is thrown into his cell with as he meets his cell mate, Diablo but the guards are about to allow the prisoners a moment alone with Charlie. Aleta and Vance share a moment but is ruined when Vance`s suit tries to bond with Aleta, she calls off the relationship. Talon, seeking relief for his smashed spine, tricks Cuchulain into using the Trans-Molecular Reconstitutor as he mutates into a new, wilder inhuman.
