"The Corpse" reprints Advanced Comics #75-82 with additional material
*In a tale from 1959, Hellboy aids an Irish family whose baby has been kidnapped and replaced by one of the Little People. They wager with Hellboy for the child's safe return: take the corpse of a hanged man to a church burial ground before daylight. It won't be easy and one of the Little People, Gruagach, bears a grudge, and is determined to stop Hellboy.
The baby, Alice Monaghan, returns as a grown woman and love interest of Hellboy in The Storm.

**The Monaghan's have a problem -- faeries have stolen their baby. Tam O'Clannie's problem is he wants a Christian burial, and he's already getting pretty ripe. Hellboy has more than his share of problems with border goblins, dead men, and war monsters, as he tries to make everyone happy in one night, roaming the Irish landscape looking for a Christian graveyard and finding only pagan monstrosities. The complete story, "The Corpse," the first part of which was serialized in Advance Comics, concludes here. **Source: darkhorse.com
