"The Island, Part 1 of 2"
*Hellboy, having survived at the bottom of the ocean against the Bog Roosh, finds his way ashore in a bizarre seascape of shipwrecks and abandoned temples set on a craggy coast. He spends his time drowning his sorrows in the company of ghostly sailors, until he is drawn out by Hecate, who wants to make peace with Hellboy, and convince him to embrace his heritage. He shuns her, and wanders until he comes upon a temple that has golden blood flowing out the door into the sea. Hellboy investigates, and has a vision of 500 years in the past, of a mystic who was hunted and slain by a detachment of soldiers from the Vatican. It is his blood that Hellboy sees. Guarding the waters outside the temple, Hellboy awakens Urgo-Hem, one of the Ogdru Hem, offspring of the dragon Ogdru Jahad. They fight, and Hellboy is mortally wounded. We see in flashback, the dying mystic foretell his return 500 years hence. *Source: Warlock
