Spitfire arrives in a streak of red and gold, to inform the heroes they are needed at Big Ben to meet with military officials. Meeting up with Union Jack, the team is briefed about fanatical Egyptian terrorists dubbed, "the Sons of the Scarab", who have sided with the Nazis in their North African campaign.
Momentarily after the bomber aircraft carrying the Invaders has touched down on Egyptian soil, the plane is attacked by the Sons of the Scarab.
The terrorists are willing to sacrifice their own men just to silence them. Doctor Abdul Faoul has a theory that the Sons of the Scarab are hiding in the ancient surroundings of the pyramids.
Faoul reveals the extent of his deceit to Namor and the Torch by usurping the sacred Ruby Scarab and transforming himself into a latter-day Demi-God.
