Things have been slow at the Real Estate office, and layoffs are coming. Old Man Harris hasn't made a sale in months, and he is desperate. An old mansion has a history of violence, and so Harris thinks if he spends the night there, it will convince prospective buyers. "The Secret Men"

A commander leads an expedition to a remote mountain peak to investigate claims that there is a city of advanced beings who live there. He convinces his team that it is a myth before perishing on the treacherous climb. His men, dis-spirited, believe the city is a hoax and leave. We see that the commander has survived and accomplished his mission of dissuading the men, as he is a member of that advanced race. 4 pages (M-325).
"The Burning Flame"

A thief breaks into a funeral home at night and steals the silver candlestick holders which are next to a man awaiting burial. He is pursued by police, and can't seem to shake them, as the candles can't be extinguished. They pursue him to a graveyard and shoot him dead. He collapses into the open grave of the man whose candles he stole. 4 pages (9923).
"I Went Through the Veil!"

A man on a hike sees a car driven by a woman plunge through a veil, disappearing. He feels compelled to follow her, and finds that he has passed into the future, following the Siryn song by the woman from the future, who is the spitting image of wife. 4 pages (K-119).

A man who lives a hum-drum existence but longs for adventure sees a crash while out camping. When he investigates, he finds books that, when read, transport you into the story. He later meets the alien operator of the library ship that crashed and dropped the books. 4 pages (K-48).
