"Crisis in Tomorrow"
As a last resort King Kull has exposed Superman to a weird type of Red Kryptonite. This rock turns Superman into a raging maniac who destroys anything and anyone in his path. Miraculously Johnny Thunder's magic Thunderbolt does what the Wizard Shazam cannot; it changes Billy, Mary and Freddy into the Marvel Family. All told, even this may not be enough to stop the Man of Steel from destroying Earth-1.
