"The Assassin's Road"
Itto Ogami has been the Shogun's assassin, but the Yagyu Clan are ambitious and want his position. They frame Itto, murder his wife and now come bearing a decree from the Shogun: Ogami is to murder his own child and commit ritual suicide. Ogami chooses another path, the assassin's road...to avenge the Clan Ogami.
"The Coming of the Cold"
Shuzen Inami hires Ogami to cleanse his Han of it's mad leader, Ichio, who drains the resources and spirits of the Han in his mad quest for power. Ogami must leave his child in a wintery cave to complete his mission. When an avalanche seals the child in, Ogami must rely on his faith that the child will survive.
