*Where did this art come from and why has it been hidden for 80 years?
The Bogeyman first appeared in Red Band Comics #1 (1944). In total, he appeared in 2 comic stories and 2 text stories in 1944-45, Zoom Comics (Dec. 1945) and Merry Comics (Dec. 1945). The Bogeyman was created by writers/artists working for Bernard Baily at his Baily Publishing shop.
In 1946, Baily closed his studio and publishing companies and sold their inventory and intellectual property to a new buyer who didn't have the chance to publish the stories. We bought the IP rights and almost all of the inventory from that buyer and, at last, are bringing these stories to the world!
Issue #3 contains TWO more unpublished/unseen stories of The Bogeyman PLUS a 12-page Bogeyman story that was published in 1946 ONLY in the United Kingdom in a very rare paper comic book (no glossy cover) of which we estimate there are less than 10 copies in the world. *Source: linktr.ee/thrillingnostalgia
