"Sub-Mariner! Joins the Evil Mutants"

Professor X rightly suspects that Namor might be a mutant, and decides to seek him out. The Professor isn't the only one, as Magneto seeks to recruit the Sub-Mariner for the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Namor is intrigued by Magneto's offer of partnership, and goes to parlay, arriving just before the X-Men raid Magneto's island strong-hold. Namor soon feels like a pawn in the conflict, and departs, destroying Magneto's base. Magneto and the Brotherhood escape in the commotion. 22 pages (X-706).

Start of a regular feature starring the Hulk. Dr. Bruce Banner hides in the caves of New Mexico while he is the Hulk to avoid the persecution of the army. Banner's mysterious disappearances worry General Ross, but his daughter Betty loves Bruce dearly. Banner is under pressure to deliver a new manned battle suit to the military and pressure is high. When a spy steals the suit, only the Hulk can face him. 10 pages (X-763).
"The Mystery of the Man with the Mask!"

A new threat to law and order has arisen. The Matador has committed dozens of brazen bank robberies single-handedly, and the police are unable to stop him. Daredevil steps in, and at first struggles apprehend the Matador, who's strength and agility are uncanny. Daredevil discovers his enemy's identity as Manuel Eloganto, renowned bull fighter, whose cruelty earned him enmity of the spectators. Embittered, Eloganto became the Matador. Daredevil defeats him by wounding first his pride. 20 pages.
