Mr. Hopkins loses his glasses while going to see a gypsy at a carnival. She finds them for him, and when he puts them on, he sees her as a lovely young woman. The gypsy convinces him to kill his wife so that he can be with her; however, she had exchanged his glasses for an enchanted pair, and, in reality, she is an ugly old hag. 4 pages (9938).

"House For Sale"
Things have been slow at the Real Estate office, and layoffs are coming. Old Man Harris hasn't made a sale in months, and he is desperate. An old mansion has a history of violence, and so Harris thinks if he spends the night there, it will convince prospective buyers. The caretaker is creepy, and there are murder and secrets in store. 4 pages (9983).

A thief breaks into a funeral home at night and steals the silver candlestick holders which are next to a man awaiting burial. He is pursued by police, and can't seem to shake them, as the candles can't be extinguished. They pursue him to a graveyard and shoot him dead. He collapses into the open grave of the man whose candles he stole. 4 pages (9923).

"A Monster Among Us"
The fishing village has been cursed with a sea monster who drags men to their deaths to the deeps below. The monster is a shape shifter, so none in the village can trust each other, and fear runs rampant. Fishing captain Dan Harper has lost his crews to their fears, and wants to show his men that there is nothing to the stories. 5 pages (9958).
