When one of Pa Kent's old school buddies comes to visit, it spells trouble for Superboy. It turns out that Pa's friend Rupert Thaxter is set on adopting Superboy.

While trying to subdue a tornado, a freak accident sends Superboy to another Earth. On this new Earth, Superboy runs into his "parents" and Clark Kent from the 1930's.
Note: Clark Kent and John and Mary Kent of Earth-2 appear in this issue. In this story the Clark Kent of Earth-2 does not know his Kryptonian heritage.
