As Superboy is receiving an award from the Mayor, the villain Humpty Dumpty strikes. Wishing to get revenge on Superboy, he drops a bomb containing Red Kryptonite into the crowd. Having no choice Superboy saves the innocent by-standers, but gets exposed to the Red-K.
