"Elysium Gloom"
*Welcome to the final issue of Poison Elves. Longtime fans will recognize that this actually marks the 100th issue of Drew Hayes' fantasy epic, including both those issues published by Sirius Entertainment and the twenty issues Drew self-published years ago under the Mulehide Graphics banner.
Drew Hays, the creator of Poison Elves passed away earlier this year. [Drew died on March 21, 2007] What you hold in your hands contains a large chunk of what was salvaged from Drew's notes, inks, and sketches, supported editorially through earlier conversations with the Sirius staff. Many of the storyboards herein were not even intended for this specific issue; the corresponding noted indicate that Drew was illustrating scenes from future issues.
As such, issue #80 will not read as a narrative story, but rather as a collection of vignettes; it serves as a window into the extremely gifted and creative mind of Mr. Hayes. Be prepared to follow a plot thread for several pages, and then jump to a different story altogether. Along the way, we've provided textual insight from Drew Hayes himself.
Our goal is to provide the Poison Elves fans with a final statement on where Drew was headed with is immediate story: the gathering of forces at the First Step in preparation for the raid on Fell Keep. *Source: Poison Elves #80
Includes letters from series creator Drew Hayes' mother, Sharon, and daughter, Mary.
This Limited Edition also came bagged with an exclusive mini-comic by Drew Hayes, "Poison Elves Presents: Songs in the Key of Satan."
Note: Cosmictherapy.com (Sirius' online store) says this issue is limited to 999 copies, but sticker on actual issue packaging states that it is limited to 600 instead.
