*Dragon and Jennifer head to an area outside of Chicago dubbed the Danger Zone and face down a freak known as Brain-Child who has an collection of people under his mental control, including Red Giant and the Sky-Riders. Jennifer bludgeons it to death. Later, at a press conference, a Vicious Circle agent named Negate touches both Jennifer and Dragon. His touch removes Jennifer's powers but fails to change Dragon. Elsewhere, political hopeful Ronald Urass confides with his assistant Osgood that his plan is to draft the Dragon into office as the next President and ride his coat tails.

*Mighty Man has been applying harsh justice, killing people for crimes as small as littering and jay-walking. SuperPatriot preps his group of heroes about their mission to take Mighty Man down. The mission goes terribly, and the heroes get clobbered. Nurse Ann Stevens later enters Billy Berman's apartment with Larry Bradford to to fire a weapon which will supposedly stop Mighty Man, but things do not go as planned. *Source: Warlock
