This issue was one of the Image-X issues that were published in the same month by creative teams from other Image founders' titles. Erik Larsen chose to completely redo the book after a central character was killed in the Jim Lee version as well as Larsen's desire to have a complete run of the book written and drawn by himself.

*During a police stake-out, Grifter of the WildC.A.T.S does battle with Spetsnaz, a Russian mercenary that works for the extra-terrestrial creature Demonseed. Dragon and Alex Wilde intercede, but Spetznaz escapes. Eventually, Dragon and Grifter locate and defeat Spetznaz, and Demonseed escapes.
