The Gamilon fleet and Argo make repairs as Helms makes his demands on General Todo, the Earth Defense Fleet Commander. During the demands, Todo feigns an attack and is carried off to buy some time. Todo reveals the events that lead to Helms disgrace and how he was partially to blame. Meanwhile, Lotar and his planet destroyer faces off with the EDF fleet. The Argo jumps into the middle of Lotar's fleet as Desslock is stalked by a traitor. Nova and IQ-9 discover a rift in space where more of the planet destroyers are hidden.
