A scientist secretly works on a time machine despite the warnings of his peers. He feels compelled to see the future of mankind, and finally ventures forth to find that our future is some kind of giant loop, and he ultimately finds the present repeated in the future. This discovery causes an amnesia, which causes his recollection of the whole incident to become like a bad dream.
