A small-town inventor creates an artificial being in his basement which everyone considers a monster. The man and his beast alike are reviled, until one day the monster goes on a rampage and ends up at the bottom of the ocean. We learn that the creature saw it as the only course to erase the stigma from his creator, and that the compassion of the monster was greater than mans'. 7 pages.

A talent agent stumbles upon a new singing sensation, who seems to have universal appeal. The agent's wife is suspicious, and has the agent spy on his secretive client. The wife's suspicions are confirmed, when the singer turns out to be an alien scout, whose voice will hypnotize all Earthlings once they hear it. The wife must do some acting to convince the alien to call a halt to the scheme. 6 pages.
