On a distant world, the wife of their super-hero, Vartox, dies. Desperate to find a cause, he follows a trail that leads to Earth. Upon reaching Earth, he finds the source of his wife's death. Wanting to take the culprit to his planet for justice, he comes into conflict with Superman.
