"The Wreck of the Cosmic Hound"
When Superman inadvertently passes through a "tear" in space, he encounters what appears to be a stranded female buccaneer. Later as she recounts the story of how she became stranded, he learns that she is kept on this world by dozens of hounds, as a sentence for crimes she committed as a cosmic hunter.
