Continued from Adventures of Superman #451, continues in Adventures of Superman #452.
In mourning for Clark, Lois requests an out-of-town assignment only to find herself investigating the empty town of Trudeau, South Dakota where a year earlier Superman battled the Word Bringer and Union denying them the thousands of minds they had stolen.
Galaxies away, Superman finds that Union and the Word Bringer are still stealing the brains of innocents and intends to put a stop to their evil "crusade".
