**It is 1940, and World War II rages in Europe. Deep sea diving expert Victor Olssen has been hired by the same Cyrill Moore who led Graf Ling De Gotha into the clutches of the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra in 1916. Her escape from the Brotherhood on a zeppelin with the Hyperborean sword and vril crystal was short-lived, being brought down to a watery grave in the Atlantic. Now, years later, Olssen is compelled to dive to the zeppelin's wreck to retrieve the artifacts, in heavily patrolled waters. The mission runs afoul, with the diving ship being torpedoed, just as Olssen recovers the sword and vril crystal. Like those before him who have possessed the sword, an Atlantean goddess appears, bidding him to be her champion, and defender of Atlantis. We see seven years later that Olssen's life has gone nowhere, and nobody believes his story, and his life as owner of a backwater dive bar seems over, the artifacts mere decorations in his bar, until they are stolen by agents of Moore.
