A science-fiction writer can't shake the sensation that he is being watched, until the alien that has been stalking him confronts him. The alien from the 6th Dimension wants the writer to portray his race in a kind light, so that when his people invade, Earthlings will be caught off guard. Fate brings two men together in a boarding house. One is a young, wanna-be dancer with a dearth of talent; the other an old man with a pair of enchanted dancing shoes. The young dancer learns the secret of the shoes, and takes them from the old man by force. He tries them on before learning that the wearer is compelled to dance non-stop until they expire.
