Joe Baxter, a mechanic, is dismissed from his job because his plant is automating. When Ozamm the Terrible arrives from space, he demands Earthlings surrender, and demonstrates his power. Mankind's is unable to stop him...except for the mechanic, who recognizes Ozamm's weakness. Baxter gets his old job back.

Young Billy is a fanatic about the Civil War and his toy soldiers. When Zogg, an alien from the Sixth Dimension, finds a way into our world at Billy's house with the plans on returning with captives from our dimension, a scuffle breaks out between Zogg and Billy's dad, then the lights go out. Billy later finds that his toy soldiers have protected his family.
