Upon arriving in Shi'ar space, Thor and the Avengers find themselves in the vicinity of a fight between the Kree and a Shi'ar starship. Gladiator mistakes them for the attackers and attacks the Avengers. He quickly takes out Wonder Man. Thor takes on Gladiator and winds up defeating him, but has to destroy their only route home to do so.
