All reality is blurred as the X-Men fight the Marauders as a strange demonic world around them that is transforming NYC into Limbo. As Peter figures this out, he learns his sister has been overthrown by Sym and he must save her and stop Sym from taking over the world. Mr. Sinister tells the story of how he used Jean Grey's DNA to create Madelyne and how the Pheonix breathed life into her.
