The X-Men must find out what Jamie Braddock is up to and why Uatu the Watcher is here as they break down into two teams to find Jamie. The Watcher reveals the reason for his presence - an ancient being known as the First Fallen. As the Phoenix represents life, death and rebirth, the First Fallen is its opposite. The First Fallen represents the end of the life cycle and has recruited 4 allies to help him, but the 5th and most important eludes him: Jamie Braddock. The X-Men must stop the First Fallen or Earth will fall. As the X-Men are sucked into a portal leading to the realm of the First Fallen, Psylocke seals the portal to Earth.
