Cedric the sculptor has fallen in love with his model Christine, who strings him along for all the presents he gives her. Cedric has learned, though, that Christine secretly loves another, and his plans to make a silver-plated statue of her take a vindictive turn. 8 pages.

Old man Byrd drives a hearse, even though he's no undertaker. It leaves the townspeople curious. We see the back story of how Byrd was a Siamese twin who always concealed his condition, and how some escaped murderers on the run killed his twin...how that twin hung from him dead and decaying. 7 pages.
"Strictly From Hunger!"
The town's posse has tracked the monster that killed ten townsfolk, and have it holed up in a cave. The town's doctor tells the others he knows the monster, that it was once a neighbor who contracted cancer. Once the cancer got beyond his ability to treat it, the man went to a local witch. The witch did a spell that kept the man alive but the tumor never stopped growing. The man was consumed, and yet the tumor still hungers for flesh. 6 pages.
"A Grim Fairy Tale!"
The tiny kingdom had a rat infestation, and all were plagued except the King, whose moat kept all rats out. The Queen kept pet mice, and ordered a decree that the villagers would kill no more rats. The situation gets so bad that the villagers revolt and take an ironic vengeance against their rulers. 7 pages.
