New York City. Sometime in the future.
After being framed for the murder of Cyrus, the most powerful gang leader in New York, the Warriors were hunted down by every other gang in the city. In one hellish night, two Warriors including the gang's leader, Cleon, were killed, while a third, Ajax, was captured by the police.
Following their reluctant new leader, Swan, the remaining Warriors survived, eventually returning to their home on Coney Island.
Months passed. The Warriors includin Swan and his girlfriend, Mercy thought they could finally put the events of that night behind them.
