"Flash Back, Part Two"
It is revealed that Pilgrim, Jester, Grail, and Mother-One have survived the crash. Mother-One is once again in control of herself, though her appearance has been altered.
Dane and Lynch are flashing back to their time in Cambodia (during the events in Team 7: Objective Hell). It is revealed that it is telepathic manipulation from Rostov, who was believed to have been killed by Deathblow. Rostov managed to survive being shot in the head, and his consciousness had been stored at I.O. until he ws able to take over Alicia Turner.
Rostov has been using his ability to take over the minds of his victims (who he refers to as Tanagers), in an attempt to gain the most powerful host body he can find. And in the end he has decided on Grifter, who is secretly the most powerful of the survivors of Team 7.
WetWorks, with the help of Grifter, are able to finally destroy Rostov's psyche. But Dane decides that it's time for the team to go their separate ways. Though the other members of WetWorks make it clear that they will be there when they are needed once again.
Deathblow (Michael Cray) in this issue is actually Jester taking his form.
