Gorgilla, after his encounter with the explorers who discovered him, craves human contact. He stows away on a freighter bound for New York City. His overtures of friendship are misunderstood and he is driven off in fear. The monster ultimately dies trying to protect mankind. 12 pages, as reprinted. The splash panel is the original cover art to Tales to Astonish #18, and the original story was 13 pages, so 2 pages of original story were trimmed.

On the first manned flight to Mercury, one of the astronaut's girlfriends stows away, angering the rest of the crew. When they arrive on Mercury and are greeted by the hostile natives, it is clear that we have nothing to teach or give them, until the aliens witness the love between the girlfriend and astronaut, which saves the crews' skins. 5 pages.

In a crumbling tenement in a European city, the ruthless bourgeois landlord has hired a new building superintendent. The new man works relentlessly to make things better, but his real job is to hold judgment on his employer. When the landlord fails the ultimate test, the mysterious hand of justice comes for him. 5 pages.
