"The Rudiments of Wisdom, Part One: The Day the Fairies Came Out"
A series of attacks by fairy folk all over the U.K. prompt the British Intelligence service to sanction a counter-raid on the pixie people on their own doorstep, Avalon, Otherworld.
MI:13 is the branch that deals with "weird happenings". This disparate crew consists of; Pete Wisdom, bloody-minded Secret Service Mutant operative. Tink, a turncoat fairy with a King-size crush on Wisdom. Sid Ridley, the low-rent Captain Britain, a costumed curmudgeon with an acerbic outlook on the modern world. Maureen Raven, who can take control of brains, but doesn't have to use her power to turn Pete's head. And John, once part of a Beatles-impersonating Skrull Invasion crew, who's taken to passing himself off as Lennon permanently.
The crew touches down in Otherworld and take no prisoners. Bloody warfare commences, but when a stand-off is reached, Tink calls upon her father, Oberon, King of the fairies to call an end to the war.
Oberon agrees on condition that Wisdom conjugates with his daughter, ensuring a truce between the dimensions. Wisdom goes along with it, for the sake of peace in his time, even though he's taken a fancy to the flame-haired Maureen.
