"Where No X-Man Has Gone Before!"
The X-Men and Phoenix arrive at the M'Kraan Crystal as the Shi'ar Emperor and his minions battle the X-Men. During a moment of pause, Lilandra tells the story of her brother's quest for the ultimate power and how she tried to stop him but failed. Meanwhile the battle is not going well for the X-Men until the arrival of the Starjammers turns the tide on the Imperial Forces. Jean scans Corsair and learns a dark secret but the X-Men and Starjammers fail, D'Ken gets control of the M'Kraan crystal as the universe starts to rip itself apart.
