The X-Men find themselves in an uneasy alliance with their arch foe Magneto against the influential preacher Reverend William Stryker, whose worldwide message of hatred toward mutants is beginning to have a very negative effect on the lives of homo superior. If Stryker's words don't have the intended effect, his shadow organization, the Purifiers, and their assassination campaign will get the job done.
