RIP MAJEL BARRETT RODDENBERRY
We pay tribute to Gene Roddenberry's widow Majel, who was a vital part of the Star Trek family from the pilot episode "The Cage" right the way through to J.J. Abrams' new movie opening this summer. Abrams tells us, "She was incredibly supportive, and spoke beautifully of her memories of Star Trek and her late husband. We will all miss her."

Features
ALL DUE RESPECT
Canadian star Bruce Greenwood tells us about the secrecy involved with his time on the set of the new Star Trek movie, and drops some hints about his interpretation of Captain Christopher Pike. "He’s a very strong guy. Under his rather conventional exterior beats the heart of a guy who understands that he can’t always play by the rules. Pike is not a kneejerk reactive who makes rash decisions. He gets put in very complicated situations and treats them with the respect they deserve."
WHERE NO BORG HAS GONE BEFORE
Jeri Ryan looks back at her time on the show, and reveals the pleasures and pains of playing Seven of Nine and traveling in the Delta Quadrant in the fourth Trek series. "In a lot of ways, it was a great four years. It was tough. But it was really great. She was a wonderful, rich character that I got to play. It was great working with the people I got to work with. It was a hoot. It was fun raising my son in space for four years. He came on the set all the time. He loved it."
PROGRAM ANALYSIS
Acclaimed actor Robert Picardo discusses how Kes' departure fundamentally altered the Doctor’s approach to his shipmates. "I was concerned that he no longer had a confidante. I was concerned that he might revert to being a sort of comic foil and a windbag. We would miss out on his more vulnerable side because he didn’t have that kind of confessional relationship with any of the other crew members. So Brannon Braga said, 'See if you can think of a way that the Doctor would relate to our new crew member, Seven of Nine.'"
