*A high guard ship headed by Jamahl hails the Andromeda, explaining that he has a message from Sara Riley, Dylan’s long-dead fiancée. This leads Dylan to Jamahl’s home planet of Tarazed, the last refuge of the Systems Commonwealth. The founders of this world were survivors from the Andromeda, and have been waiting for Dylan to return for generations. Once there, he encounters descendants of those he knew – including an identical version of Gaheris Rhade, the first officer who betrayed him. Eventually, both he and this man, Telemachus, work side-by-side against a common foe, Rakel Ben-Tzion.
