*Trance runs through a series of possible outcomes in order to save the crew from a deadly intruder, the Scourge. In each possible scenario, Dylan and his crew combat this terrible threat, but seem unable to stop it from tampering with some of the ship’s controls. Every rewound option provides tragic results for the Andromeda crew, until Rommie discovers that the Scourge seems to be getting younger with each attack…as though it’s moving backward in time. Eventually, Dylan gains the upper hand by sending the slipstream’s Exotic Matter pulser hurling into space, The Scourge is sucked outside and is destroyed when the EMP explodes safely away from the Andromeda.
