*Justin Monjo’s excellent script, Rowan Woods’ outstanding direction, Claudia Black’s superlative performance, and Dave Elsey and the Creature Shop’s incomparable creations (Seer Cresus rocks!) highlight an aspect of Farscape that I’m not aware of other shows duplicating. We can follow a cartoon-themed episode, steeped in humor, with an hour on which our lead actress contemplates suicide, has psychotic visions of her dead lover, meets a hideously distorted man who claims to be he father, survives encounters with her own dysfunctional crewmates, contacts the dead via a creepily weird alien, and resolves familial issues by allowing her mother to plunge to death. I love this show’s ability to juggle anything we can throw at it, and ultimately make the subject seem totally natural as a Farscape episode. And how about that incredible city skyline, courtesy of Production Designer Tim Ferrier and the CG Department geniuses?!” - DK *Source: Back of card
