*Danita Lincoln and Maggie became friends while they were working at Vandy's, a local fast food joint. Later, while Maggie explored the east coast, Danita began dating Ray. She and Lily danced in a strip bar until it suddenly shut down, making it difficult for Danita to support her son Elias. Elias's father, Cornelius Edwards, had been in jail for murder and was killed while incarcerated.
