*Rose flies to Florida to locate her missing brother, 12 year old Jed. She takes a room in a boarding house people with a variety of odd tenants. Far away, Jed dreams he is flying with friendly super-heroes on cheerful missions, only to wake in the cold, damp, rat-infested basement that is his prison. Morpheus discovers that some force has severed Jed from the Dreaming. Rose traces Jed to her uncle's Georgia farm, and embarks with her housemate Gilbert.
