*Jabba the Hutt is monarch of the underworld and has a score to settle with Han Solo. George Lucas suggested Jabba have a slug-like body, and three artists and one model maker collaborated to come up with the repulsive, long-tailed creature with a maniacal grin. The sketch (front) is by Joe Johnston based on a model built by Phil Tippett, supervisor of stop-motion photography.
