*Artist John Berkey, known for landscape and science fiction paintings, did this painted sketch (front) as a concept for a Star Wars theatrical poster, but didn't do a completed poster because of an unrelated legal issue. The first illustrated campaign poster (back) was painted by Tom Jung with design work by Smollen, Smith and Connolly. It has become one of the best known of all movie poster designs, even if its main characters are a bit idealized. *Source: Back of card
