*Recapturing the style and excitement of posters for movie serials from the 1940s, this art was commissioned for the 1978 summer re-release of Star Wars. It is by Charles White III and Drew Struzan, with design work by White "and friends." With its weathered and tattered look, as if it had been slapped up on a nearby fence, it earned the nickname of "the circus poster."
